Gadzhiyevo - the location of the Northern Fleet of Russia . Located in Saida-Bay , ZATO Rocky , Murmansk region . Nuclear submarines of the Northern Fleet are based in Gadzhiyevo. The base includes marinas in the city of Gadzhiyevo (Yagelnaya lip) and in the village Olenya Guba (Deer lip).

The basing point was opened in 1956 and served as a home port for diesel submarines [1] . Since 1963, nuclear submarines, including the K-219 that sank in 1986, were also based in Hajiyev. In 1995, a nuclear accident almost occurred in Hajiyev. On September 21, the electricity supply was cut off in Hajiyev, since the Ministry of Defense owed Kolenergo an impressive amount. Later, the Government of the Russian Federation forced the electricity supplier to resume the supply of electricity [2] .
As of 2010, the 31st ( SSBN Ave. 667BDRM ) and 24th ( MPLATRK Ave 971 ) divisions of the 12th submarine squadron, as well as the 29th separate submarine brigade (special purpose submarines) are based in Hajiyev. ) and the 270th Guards Division of small anti-submarine ships. Gadzhievo also serves as a place for storing spent fuel from decommissioned submarines [3] .
