History
The station is named after the Molodezhnaya street located near the former Moscow-based city of Kuntsevo , which in 1962 , after Kuntsev was annexed to Moscow, was renamed Molodogvardeyskaya because of the same name as Molodyozhnaya Street that already existed in Moscow.
Molodezhnaya was opened on July 5, 1965 as part of the Pionerskaya section - Molodezhnaya line on the Filyovskaya line , became the 73rd station of the Moscow metro . It was the final station until December 31, 1989, when the line was extended to the Krylatskoye station.
In November 1991, in the wake of desovetization, the station was proposed to be renamed “Rublevskaya” [1] , and also a little later at Yartsevskaya.
Until January 2008, "Youth" was part of the Filevskaya line. On January 7, 2008 , after the discovery of traffic on the Park Victory section - Kuntsevskaya , the Kuntsevskaya section - Krylatskoye became part of the Arbat-Pokrovsk line .
Vestibules and Transplants
The station has two ground-based vestibules, made in the form of glass pavilions. The western lobby is located on Yartsevskaya street, and the east - on Elninskaya .
Both halls are connected by escalators. In 1995-1996, escalators were replaced with new ones (model ET-5M), with escalators with stainless steel balustrades installed at the eastern exit. In 2010, the turnstiles were replaced with new ones (such as UT-2009).
Despite the fact that each of the lobbies has a pair of escalators, they only work towards the exit. In the station hall you can go down the stairs parallel to the escalators.
