Samuel Prescott Bush ( English Samuel Prescott Bush ; October 4, 1863 - February 8, 1948 ) - American industrialist and entrepreneur. The founder of the dynasty of American politicians, father of US Senator Prescott Bush , grandfather of the 41st US President George W. Bush , great-grandfather of the 43rd US President George Walker Bush . He was married to Flora Sheldon, the family had five children, remarried after the death of his wife, hit by a car. The scope of interests in the business extended from steel and oil to rail transportation. After the end of World War I and the adoption of the modernization program for the American military-industrial complex, he was responsible for artillery and small arms. He served at the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank . He was appointed to the Presidential Commission of President Hoover on unemployment.
