LCU-2000 is a landing craft used by amphibious forces of the US Navy to transport equipment and troops of the marine corps from landing ships to the coast, coastal transportation of military cargo, as well as for humanitarian operations.

LCU-2000 for 2008 are the largest diesel landing craft.
Landing boats LCU-2000 can be operated on landing ships of the types "Tarava" , "Wosp" , "Widby Island" and "San Antonio" (1 boat each).
LCU-2000 boats have a bow ramp for loading / unloading assault cargoes. The ramp dimensions are 22 * 16 feet. Boats can carry up to 350 tons of cargo, or 5 main M1 battle tanks or up to 10 M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, or up to 400 landing personnel or 30 standard 20-foot containers or 12 40-foot containers per flight from a landing ship to shore.
