Macropsia is a visual disorder in which objects are perceived more than they really are, and the subject who perceives them is smaller than they really are. Macropsy is a micropsy of the opposite. Macropsy is a type of metamorphopsia .

The causes of macropsy are migraine and (rarely) complex partial epilepsy . Temporary macropsy can also be caused by the effects of various psychoactive drugs , especially hash. and hallucinogenic mushrooms . Changes in perception caused by the drug pass with the release of chemicals from the body.
