The church called Sant'Agata in Capite Subura was built in the 4th century . In the V century, she served the Goths , adherents of Arianism . Pope Gregory I consecrated the church anew according to the Catholic rite in 592 . In the 17th century it was rebuilt in the Baroque style . Today, antique granite columns in the courtyard, a mosaic floor (in the style of cosmatesco , XII-XIII centuries) and a marble altar have been preserved.
