Georgiadi, Ksenia Anestovna

Ksenia Georgiadi was born on June 1, 1949 in the village of Kulanurkhva (now the city of Gudauta ), in Abkhazia (at that time the Abkhaz ASSR of the Georgian SSR ). Father - Anastas Spiridonovich Georgiadi, first worked as a shepherd , miner , later worked in a crushed stone plant. Mother - Valentina Nikolaevna Georgiadi (nee Muruzidi), worked as a cook in the dining room. Brother - Georgiadi Nikolay Anastasovich, lives in Athens . Sister - Georgiadi Violet Anastasovna, lives in Moscow ^[1] .

From 1949 to 1959, the Georgiadi family lived in Kentau ( Kazakhstan ), where they were deported. In this city in 1957, Ksenia Georgiadi went to first grade of high school.

From 1959 to 1967, she and her family lived in Gantiadi ^[4] .

Arriving in Moscow , in 1968 she entered the All-Russian Creative Workshop of Pop Art (VTMEI, Moscow) (class of George Vinogradov ). In 1969 , after graduation, she was sent to work in practice at the Omsk Regional Philharmonic Society ^[3] .

In 1971-1976, she worked together with the Azerbaijani pop singer Polad Bulbul-oglu .

In 1978, Ksenia Georgiadi became the winner (winner and winner of the audience’s prize) of the All-Union television contest “ With a song for life ”, in the first round of which she performed a song to the music of Vadim Ilyin and the words “Music Lessons” by Yuri Rybchinsky , and in the final, a song for music of Yuri Saulsky and the words of Leonid Zavalnyuk “Expectation” (“My old sorrow is old”) ^[5] .

In 1976-1980 she performed at the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic Society in the Fantasy ensemble under the direction of Viktor Akopov. She also worked in the Molodist ensemble of the famous concert activist and director Eduard Smolny , where she sang for the first time with Galina Nenasheva (the creative destinies of these women will overlap for a long time; in particular, they will perform in the concert “Legends of the USSR” in the Central Committee for Contemporary Art Severodvinsk several decades later, in 2010 ).

In 1981, she sang in the Rosconcert in the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Faithful Friends" ^[4] .

Ksenia Georgiadi toured the whole Soviet Union with concerts, performed in many countries of the world. The most famous songs performed by her are “Looking for You”, “Music Lessons”, “Good Capital”, “Waiting”, “Our Love”, “I Will Not Forgive You”, “Enjoy Life”, “Ai-Ai-Ai” "And others. From 1992 to 1998, Ksenia lived and worked in Athens ( Greece ) ^[1] , now continues her concert activities in Moscow, collaborates with composer and poetess Elena Surzhikova , from whom she acquired several new songs ^{[6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12]} . The songs “My Land”, “Escape” and “You Are Here ...”, created by Surzhikova, became the basis of her modern repertoire ^{[3] [13] [14]} . As well as some songs of Mark Tytler, in particular, "America". Many of these compositions were included in the track list of the next album of Georgiadi. In addition, Ksenia is the author of the texts of some of her songs ^{[13] [15] [16]} .

Over the years of her work on the stage, she worked with the musical groups Fantasy, Optimists, Rondo, and the Calendar, collaborated with the ensembles Gems, True Friends, Red Poppies and others.

In 1998, she performed the song “Looking for You” at the “Golden Hit” festival in the city of Mogilev ( Belarus ).

On June 15, 2014, Ksenia Georgiadi was a guest of the “ While Everyone is Home ” program, and on April 21, 2017, a guest of the “Alone with Everyone” program on Channel One .

For the extraordinary performance of colleagues called her "Kobzon in a skirt."
