History
According to the scribe books of 1628-1630, the village of Koshelevo was in the possession of the boyar Mikhail Borisovich Shein and had 4 peasant yards, 2 bobyl 17 yards. In the salary books of the Ryazan diocese for 1676 in the village of Koshelevo the church of the Archangel Michael is shown. This wooden church existed until 1896. The stone temple was consecrated in 1854. There were two thrones in the temple: the main one in the name of the Archangel Michael of God, utmost warm in honor of the holy disinterested Cosmas and Dimian. In 1896, the parish consisted of the village of Koshelev and the villages of Balova Skolkova, in which, according to the clearing sheets, there were 209 households, 652 male souls and 743 female. Since 1891 there has been a zemstvo public school in the village, in which there were 50 students [3] . According to the stories of old-timers of the village of Koshkin, in 1956-1957 the church was dismantled and the collective farm built a pigsty out of this brick. During a severe hurricane, the upper part of the bell tower was demolished [4] .
In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village was part of the Klinsky volost of the Murom district of Vladimir province . In 1859 [5] there were 45 yards in the village, and in 1905 [6] there were 103 yards.
Since 1929, the village was the center of the Koshelevsky Village Council of the Vachsky District of the Gorky Territory , later as part of the Klinsky Village Council . Since 2009, the village is part of the Filinsky Village Council .

- Nazarov, Ivan Nikolaevich - Full Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences , chemist ( 1906 - 1958 ), Born in the village. Koshelev Novoselsky volost of the Murom district. He graduated from Arefinsk Higher Primary School, then received secondary education. In 1931 he graduated from the Moscow Agricultural Academy. Twice winner of the State Prize. Studies are devoted to the chemistry of acetylene, discovered "Promedol" anesthetic
