Description
They are rich in flora and fauna [1] . A large number of birds usually inhabit the flooded areas [1] . Significant plains cover areas in the deltas of Amudarya , Volga , Prut , Dniester [1] , Danube [1] , Dnieper [1] , Don , Kuban . As a result of land reclamation works, the floods are drained and used to grow crops.
