History
Jeremiah died in 1606, leaving the heir of 11-year-old Constantine. However, the throne immediately, in July 1606, was captured by the brother of Jeremiah Simeon , who expelled his nephew. Simeon Grave ruled a little over a year and was poisoned by Elizabeth on September 14, 1607. His son and successor Mikhail was soon expelled by his cousin Konstantin with the help of Polish troops Samuel Koretsky , Mikhail Vishnevetsky and Stefan Pototsky .
Constantine relied on the Poles in his reign. However, in 1611, Stefan Tomša received a firman from the Sultan on the Moldovan throne, gathered an army of mercenaries, received help from the Tatars and defeated the Polish army, expelling Constantine.
Tatars captured Constantine and drowned in the Dniester . Konstantin Mogile was at that time about 16-17 years old.
