Biography
Club career
Henk Blomvlit was 13 years old when he got into the Ajax Amsterdam . Henk's debut took place on September 18, 1932 in the 1st round match of the championship against club DFK . The renewed Ajax had four new players at once: Blomvlit, Don , Khubur and Oudendake [2] . Having conceded in the first half, the Amsterdam team tied the match thanks to the goal of Yurrians [3] .
Initially, Henk played the game as a striker , but almost a year later Blomvlit lost his place in the first team. Only in the 1935/36 season was Henk able to regain his place in the main team of Ajax, but this time speaking as a defender . Due to its versatility, Blomvlit could play in any position; in the 30s, Hank played 149 matches for Ajax.
Blomvlit's football career ended with the outbreak of World War II . Henk served in Germany during the war years. By the end of the war, Blomvlit was already 34 years old and was not in great shape, nevertheless, Hank returned to football and played the 1946/1947 season for Ajax. In total, Ajax Blomvlit spent 149 matches and scored 42 goals; Henk spent his last game for the Amsterdam club on June 21, 1947 against the Blau-Wit club.
In 1953, Henk Blomvlit received the title of Honorary Member of the Merit Club on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Ajax
Team Career
In the Dutch national team, Hank made his debut on February 26, 1932 in a match against the Hungarian national team , which ended with the victory of the Netherlands with a score of 3: 2. Blomvlit held his second and last match for the national team on March 19, 1932 against the Belgian national team , which ended with a score of 5: 4 in favor of the Belgians.
