Biography

Lyudmila Volynskaya was born in the family of a military doctor Alexei Fedorovich Volynsky. In 1924 she graduated from the studio at the Semperant Theater in Moscow and in the same year became an actress of this theater. In 1929-1932 she served in the Moscow Youth Theater . Since 1932 - in various theaters of Leningrad : in LOSPS, in the Red Theater, in the Leningrad Theater. Lenin Komsomol , which in 1949 was headed by George Tovstonogov . She made her film debut in 1935 in the film Dubrovsky .

In 1957, Tovstonogov invited to the Bolshoi Drama Theater. Gorky , where she served until 1974. The most famous theatrical work is Grandma in the play "I, Grandma, Iliko and Illarion". In 1974 she left the scene.

She died in the Pavlovsk House of Veterans of the Academy of Sciences. An urn with ashes was buried at the Theological Cemetery in the Konovalovs burial fence.
