Grigor Daranagetsi , or Grigor Kamakhetsi (in Armenian Գրիգոր Դարանաղցի, Գրիգոր Կամախեցի ; 1576-1643 [1] ) is an Armenian church leader and historian, author of the Chronography, covering the period from 1018 to 1640 [1] .

Born in Camach [2] . Until 1595, the history of the Seljuks and Ottomans is briefly outlined; the second part details the history of the Ottoman Empire from Sultan Murad II to Murad IV , contains numerous information about the situation of Armenians in Turkish rule, military rebellions, rebellions of Turkic and Kurdish tribes, Turkish-Iranian wars , as well as autobiographical information.
