Biography
There is an assumption that he was a relative of the ruler of Wallachia Basaraba I.
Kostya (Stefan) was married to the daughter of Bogdan I Mushat (Margarita), of which the Mushat clan originates. They had three children, Petru , Roman and Stefan , each of whom subsequently ruled the Principality of Moldova.
A 1392 document mentions that, on the orders of his wife Kostya (Stefan), the Church of John the Baptist was built in Siret , in which she was later buried.
