Biography
In the late 1970s, on vacation in a camp, he met two guys who played in a punk band and began playing bass in their band. In 1980, Marcus "started" with a punk band and turned his attention to hard rock and metal.
In 1980, Grosskopf met Kai Hansen and joined his group Second Hell (Kai Hansen, Markus Grosskopf, Piet Sielk, Ingo Schwichtenberg)
In 1983, Marcus graduated from high school, and since the group fell apart due to Silk's departure to America, he went to study as a butcher.
In the same year, Marcus joined the Blast Furnace group, where he met Michael Wikat, who played Powerfool at the same time and invited Kai Hansen there. Marcus, Hansen, Weikath and Schweichtenberg formed Helloween.
In 1990, while Helloween could not perform for legitimate reasons, Marcus Grosskopf, Ingo Schwichtenberg and Roland Feldman formed the band Doc Eisenhauer and performed in clubs in Hamburg. In 1992, the debut album of the group Doc Eisenhauer, Alles I'm Lack, was released on the BMG label
In 1998, Grosskopf released his first solo album, “Shockmachine”.
In 2002, the first album of the side project of Marcus Kickhunter 'Hearts and Bones' was released.
