The Labinsky (Armavir) department is an administrative unit of the Kuban region of the Russian Empire and the Kuban-Black Sea region of the RSFSR , which existed in 1888 - 1924 . The administrative center is the city of Armavir .

Geography
The department occupied the eastern part of the Kuban region and bordered on the Stavropol province in the east.
Current status
On the territory of the former Labinsky department of the Kuban region , parts of the Gulkevichsky , Novokubansky , Kurganinsky , Labinsky , Uspensky districts of the Krasnodar Territory , as well as Novoaleksandrovsky , Izobilnensky and parts of the Shpakovsky districts of the Stavropol Territory are now located .
History
- The department was established in 1888 as part of the Kuban region with a center in the village of Armavir from part of the territories of Batalpashinsky , Caucasian and Maykop districts.
- After the establishment of Soviet power in the Kuban in March 1920, the Labinsky department became part of the newly formed Kuban-Black Sea region .
- On November 12, 1920, the Labinsky department was renamed Armavirsky .
- On June 2, 1924, the Kuban-Black Sea region and all departments included in it were liquidated. Most of the territory of the Armavir department became part of the Armavir district of the South-Eastern region .
