“Prayer and Post” - a concert album [1] of Boris Grebenshchikov . Recorded concert at Last Day Saloon, San Francisco on August 9, 1998 . Originally existed as an Internet-only album [2] in MP3 format. In August 1998, BG gave two concerts in the United States - in San Francisco , which is recorded on this record, and in New York at the club The Bitter End on August 14, 1998. And in the booklet to the album released in 2001, there are photos of the New York club, not the “Last Day Saloon” where the recording was made. A poster was also attached to the booklet, on which the lyrics of all the songs included in the album were written.
The set of songs itself marked the beginning of the “New Electric Dog” project , with which Aquarium performed until the summer of 1999 - old songs sung in a new way with a new composition.
