BALTRON ( born Baltic Naval Squadron ), Baltic Naval Squadron is a joint project of the naval forces of Latvia , Lithuania and Estonia . The main objectives of the squadron are the search and elimination of sea ββmines still remaining in the Baltic Sea since the Second World War [1] , increasing the security of the territorial waters of the Baltic States, and assisting in the detection and elimination of environmental damage in the territorial waters and economic zones of Latvia , Lithuania and Estonia .
