Biography
Zurab Anjaparidze was born on April 12, 1928 in Kutaisi ( Georgia ).
In 1952 he graduated from the Tbilisi Conservatory. V. Sarajishvili (class D. Ya. Andguladze [1] ).
In 1952-1959 and since 1970 - soloist of the Georgian Opera and Ballet Theater. Z. P. Paliashvili in Tbilisi . In 1979-1982 he was the director of the theater.
In 1959-1970 - soloist of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow .
He performed on the concert stage, in the repertoire of the romances of P.I. Tchaikovsky , N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov , S.V. Rakhmaninov , Neapolitan songs, vocal cycles of O.V. Taktakishvili .
He worked as a director.
He staged opera performances at the Kutaisi Opera House , the Armenian Opera and Ballet Theater. A. Spendiarova in Yerevan .
Since 1958 he has toured abroad: Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Yugoslavia, Canada, Romania, Poland, Greece.
Recorded on phonograph records .
Since 1972 - lecturer at the Tbilisi Conservatory. V. Sarajishvili (since 1984 - professor), then head of the department of musical disciplines of Tbilisi Theater Institute S. Rustaveli [2] .
He was a member of the jury of international vocal competitions, including the V International Competition. P. Tchaikovsky ( Moscow , 1974). The first chairman of the International Competition. D. Andguladze ( Batumi , 1996).
Zurab Anjaparidze died on April 12, 1997 in Tbilisi .
He was buried in the square of the Georgian Opera Theater. Z. P. Paliashvili [3] next to the luminaries of Georgian opera music Z. Paliashvili and V. Sarajishvili [4] .

- In Tbilisi, at the house number 31 on Z. Paliashvili street, where the singer lived, in 1998 a memorial plaque was opened.
- The Z. Anzhaparidze Prize was established, the first laureate of which was the Georgian tenor T. Gutushvili.
- A fund named after Z. Anzhaparidze has been created in Georgia.
- In 2008, to the 80th anniversary of the singer, the book “Zurab Anzhaparidze” was published (M., compiled by V. Svetozarov).
