Spoon is an American indie rock band from Austin, Texas . The group includes Britt Daniel - Britt Daniel (vocals, guitar); Jim Eno - Jim Eno (drums); Rob Pope - Rob Pope (bass) and Eric Harvey - Eric Harvey (keyboards, guitar, percussion, backing vocals).
The group was formed in 1993 by vocalist / guitarist Britt Daniel and drummer Jim Eno. The original line-up also included Greg Wilson - Greg Wilson (guitar) and Andy McGuire - Andy McGuire (bass). The group chose the name Spoon in honor of the song of the same name by the German Kraut rock band Can .
