Spring security

Spring Security is a Java / Java EE framework that provides mechanisms for building authentication and authorization systems, as well as other security features for industrial applications created using the Spring Framework . The project was started by Ben Alex at the end of 2003 under the name “Acegi Security” and was publicly licensed under the Apache License in March 2004. It was subsequently incorporated into Spring as an official subsidiary project. First introduced publicly under the new Spring Security 2.0.0 name in April 2008, which included official support and training from SpringSource .
