Prince Pavel Nikolayevich Engalychev ( March 25, 1864 - August 12, 1944 ) is a Russian lieutenant general [1] , an adjutant general from the Engalychev family.

Biography
From the nobility of the Tambov province. The son of the provincial leader of the nobility, Prince Nikolai Ivanovich Engalychev and his wife Nadezhda Pavlovna Ignatieva, daughter of General P.N. Ignatiev .
Educated in the Page Corps . Released by the cornet (1883) in the Cavalier Guard Her Majesty regiment . In 1889 he graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in the first category.
Since 1892, a senior adjutant of the 1st Guards Infantry Division. In 1894-1901 - a military agent in Germany. During the Chinese campaign of 1900-1901, he was a member of the German Expeditionary Force.
Since June 8, 1902 - commander of the Life Guards of the Hussar Regiment . September 6, 1905 appointed and. D. of the palace commandant. October 26, 1905 was transferred to the disposal of the Minister of the Imperial Court, General V. B. Frederiks .
March 22, 1914 Engalychev was appointed head of the Nikolaev Military Academy. After the outbreak of war, classes at the Academy were discontinued, and Engalychev was appointed on August 9, 1914, the appointment of the chief of staff of the 6th Army , which was supposed to provide the defense of Petrograd .
On December 23, 1914, he was appointed Governor-General of Warsaw for a more liberal course towards the Poles.
Already in 1915, a significant part of the territory of the governor general fell under the control of the enemy, and the other was transferred under the control of the commander of units of the army. Nevertheless, Engalychev continued to be listed as governor-general, although he left Warsaw in July 1915.
In March 1915 he was granted the rank of Adjutant General .
After the February Revolution, he immediately lost his post and on March 8, 1917, was placed at the disposal of the Chief of Staff of the Supreme Commander. On April 5, 1917, he was transferred to the reserve of ranks at the headquarters of the Kiev Military District, and on July 19, 1917 he was dismissed from the service by request with a uniform and pension. In 1918 he lived in Kislovodsk , in 1919 - in Yekaterinodar .
After the defeat of the white armies in exile. He died in 1944 in Lausanne .
He was married to Margarita Alekseevna Stenbock-Fermor . Their daughter: Margarita (April 16, 1901, Berlin - December 16, 1976, Rome)
