The popularity of TEC-9 in the underworld (including due to the possibility of reworking for automatic fire) led to a ban on the sale of these weapons in the United States in 1994 (however, in 2004, after the withdrawal of the Federal Assault Weapons Ban , which operated for 10 years, its sale was again restored). TEC-9, among other weapons, was used by Dylan Klebold during a massacre at Columbine School [2] (Colorado) in 1999. Production of the AB-10 model with a 50-round magazine was discontinued in 2001.

Description
The gun Intratec DC-9 is built on the basis of automation with a free gate. The fire is conducted from a closed shutter, firing mechanism, single action. The shutter is cylindrical, located inside the tubular receiver, representing a single unit with the perforated barrel casing. The bolt handle is located on the left, and serves as a safety device - when it is pushed in the direction of the weapon’s axis, the bolt and the hammer are blocked. Pistol grip, trigger guard and the neck of the store are made of a single plastic part. Sights of the most primitive type, in principle unregulated, as tightly welded to the receiver. Box-shaped double-row stores had a capacity of 20 or 32 rounds (10 rounds - after 1994). In addition, third-party manufacturers produced very long and impractical, but very "cool" stores for 50 rounds.
