Don Coppersmith is an American cryptographer and mathematician . He took part in the development of DES block encryption algorithm , in particular, S-blocks, making them more resistant to differential cryptanalysis - the main method of breaking block encryption algorithms with a symmetric key [1] . He also worked on algorithms for computing the discrete logarithm, cryptanalysis of the RSA system, methods of fast matrix multiplication.
