Criticism
Jeff Swindall notes the non-standard “operator Hooper finds that the viewer will like or will cause a headache”, and the film itself was “much better than it seems after watching the trailer” of the episode, the picture is “not the best, but not the worst episode of the anthology” [1] .
In a review for “DVD Talk”, Ian Jane also notes that “the way the operator works with the camera can be a target for criticism by many viewers,” but the picture contains “several interesting and worthy ideas embodied” [2] .
The DVD Verdict columnist notes the game of 16-year-old Jessica Lowndes, which "gives its character the necessary qualities - innocence and a thirst for adventure"; Robert Inglund portrays his hero as “bizarre” as possible, and Jonathan Tucker “subtly portrays a nice guy to present his anti-hero essence” [3] . However, the author attributes the operator’s work to Hooper to the minuses of the picture, in which the “zoom effect” is used so often that you soon get tired of it [3] .
Most critics unanimously note that the film has a very good and unexpected ending for such a story, the intrigue of which is revealed at the right time, and the film’s small conclusion leaves a good impression [1] [2] [4] .
