Hat with a diameter of 5-15 cm, hemispherical, then flatter. The skin is silver-white or pale brownish, shiny, smooth or slightly wrinkled, mucous in wet weather.
The pulp is fleshy, dense, white, reddish in the leg, turns blue in the air, odorless.
Leg 4–15 cm high, 2–6 cm thick, thickened below, tuberous, continuous in young mushrooms. The surface with a mesh pattern, yellow, at the base of red-brown.
The tubular layer is yellow, free with a deep groove, tubules 1.5-2.5 cm long with small rounded pores.
The remains of the bedspread are missing.
Spore powder olive, spores 10-15 × 5-6 microns, fusiform , smooth.
It grows in deciduous forests, often on calcareous soil . In Russia it is known in the Caucasus , the Far East .
Season: June - September
Edible mushroom , eaten fresh or canned.
