The 52nd Jaeger Regiment is a permanent formation ( military unit , jaeger regiment ) of light infantry of the Russian Imperial Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Empire .

Formation Regiment
The regiment was formed on April 11, 1813, and on August 30, 1815 it was named the 14th Jaeger Regiment . Upon the abolition of the jaeger regiments on January 28, 1833, part of the battalions was attached to the Polotsk infantry regiment , the 1st battalion was sent to form the 3rd active battalion, the reserve battalion was sent to form the 2nd reserve battalion of the Zamotsky jaeger regiment . In 1863, three battalions of the Polotsk regiment went to the formation of the Serpukhov infantry regiment , in which seniority and insignia of the 14th (former 52nd) jaeger regiment were preserved.
Regiment Insignia
Of the insignia, the regiment had a regimental St. George flag with the inscription "For distinction in the siege and capture of Anapa and Varna in 1828"; campaign for military distinction, granted on April 6, 1830 for feats in the Russo-Turkish war of 1828-1829.
