Formation Regiment
Formed on January 17, 1811. Upon the abolition of the jaeger regiments on January 28, 1833, the 1st and 3rd battalions were annexed to the Brest , and the 2nd to the Bialystok infantry regiments. The seniority of the regiment was not retained.
Throughout its existence, the regiment consisted of the 25th Infantry Division and was in the garrison of Riga and did not take part in campaigns. The 47th Jaeger Regiment did not have any insignia.
