It arose in the first half of the 18th century . Mentioned in documents of the 1750s . At first, the village was called Mosolovka , later to distinguish it from other Mosolovka ( Middle and Lower ) - Upper Mosolovka . The name of the river and the village came from the name of one of the first major owners of land - Mosolova . However, among the Upper Solovtsy there is a legend that the toponym arose from the word Mosly . Allegedly, every year spring water washed out a lot of bones (Moslov), with which the steppe was completely dotted.
In 1867, a wooden Kosmodamian church was built in the village. In 1904, the temple was rebuilt in stone. [2]
