Amir Katz ( German: Amir Katz ; born 1973 , Ramat Gan ) is an Israeli pianist who lives and works in Germany .

Biography
He began to study music at the age of 11, at the age of 15 he won the first national performing contest. Then he studied in Munich with Eliso Virsaladze and Michael Schaefer , also attended master classes by Leon Fleischer , Karl Ulrich Schnabel , Murray Peraiya .
In 1993 , he won the Cleveland International Piano Competition , and also won competitions in Barcelona and Dortmund. Having toured extensively in Europe, America and Asia, Katz released his first album, Schubert sonatas, only in 2006. According to Allan Kozin, music columnist for the New York Times , Katz’s distinguishing features include diversity that allows the musician to be as organic as in the classical , and in the romantic repertoire [1] .
