Shunting diesel locomotive with hydraulic transmission TGM9 was developed by order of the Ministry of ferrous metallurgy of the USSR and was intended to replace TGM4 diesel locomotives. It has a 3A-6D49 diesel engine of the Penza plant, less forced than a 3A-6D49 diesel for TGM6 A diesel locomotives. With a shaft speed of 810 rpm, the diesel engine develops a power of 750 liters. with. This allows you to double its engine life compared to diesel engines for TGM6a, as well as slightly better traction characteristics (the best ratio of power and traction when bringing the grip mass to 90 tons and reducing diesel power).
The TGM9 diesel locomotive uses single-mode hydraulic power transmission (instead of train and shunting modes, there is one medium mode, a compressor with a capacity of 5 m鲁 / min, a main tank with a volume increased to 1.26 m鲁. A more powerful compressor provides good control of dump car unloading.
The mass of the locomotive is 72-80 tons, the power of a long traction regime at a speed of 9 km / h is 157 kN (16000 kg); design speed 40 km / h; minimum radius of passable curves is 40 meters.
Built in a single copy. Since 1983 he worked as a shunting diesel locomotive at CJSC Makeevsky Metallurgical Plant. In 2006, it was transferred to the Museum of the History of the Donetsk Railway.
