Content
Story
Georgia , end of the 19th century. The rich coal merchant Mitua throws a dying donkey on the road. Six-year-old Miho and three-year-old Kato, children of poor widow Magdana Sesiashvili, find a donkey. They call him Lurgey (Sineglazy) and look after him. Lurja becomes a good helper in the small business of the widow - trade in yogurt. But one day, the merchant Mitua recognizes in him the donkey thrown by him and, bribing the judge, sues him from Magdana.

- 1956 - Honorary Diploma of the International Film Festival in Edinburgh .
In 1956, the film was honored with the Special mention at the Cannes Film Festival short films competition as “The Best Film with a Fictional Story”, becoming the first Soviet film to be recognized at a major Western film festival for a long time [2] [3] >.
