Ammunition (the German word from the Latin root [2] ) - a set of things that make up the equipment of a soldier ( soldier , grenadier , huntsman , hussar and so on) except for uniforms .
The concept of ammunition is included in the broad concept of commissariat allowance .
In the armed forces of the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation is called equipment .
Also, the concept of “ammunition money” existed in the armed forces of the imperial period of Russia - money given to a soldier (for example, a soldier , grenadier , huntsman , hussar and so on) in his hands for the purchase of any items related to ammunition.
It should be noted that the English word ammunition (as well as the French munition , German Munition , Italian Munizione , Polish amunicja , etc.) means ammunition , not equipment (see False translator friends ).
