Vladimir Fedorovich Bystrov ( December 31, 1935 - August 13, 1990) - Soviet biophysicist , deputy director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry named after M. M. Shemyakina, USSR Academy of Sciences , corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences , professor at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology . Laureate of the USSR State Prize.

Biography
Born in Leningrad. He graduated from the Physics Department of Moscow State University in 1959.
Senior Researcher (1964-1971), then Deputy Director (1971-1990) of the Institute of Chemistry of Natural Compounds of the USSR Academy of Sciences (since 1974 - M. M. Shemyakin Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, USSR Academy of Sciences), head of the NMR spectroscopy group. He taught at the basic departments of the faculties of molecular and chemical physics and physical and chemical biology of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology . Head of the Department of Physical and Chemical Biology and Biotechnology of the Physical and Chemical Biophysics Institute of Physics and Technology from MIPT from 1988 to 1990 [1]
He was buried at Kuntsevsky cemetery [2] .
Prizes and Awards
- Anniversary medal “For Valiant Labor. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin ” (1970).
- The Order of the Badge of Honor is for merit in the development of Soviet science and in connection with the 250th anniversary of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1975).
- Order of Friendship of Peoples - for the successes achieved in fulfilling the tasks of the X Five-Year Plan for the development of science and technology, the implementation of research results in the national economy (1981).
- The Order of the Red Banner of Labor - for achievements in the development of bioorganic chemistry, the training of scientific personnel and in connection with the fiftieth birthday (1985).
- USSR State Prize in the field of science and technology for the series of works “Neurotoxins as Instruments for Studying the Molecular Mechanisms of Generation of a Nerve Impulse” published in 1973-1983. (together with V.T. Ivanov , E.V. Grishin , V.I. Tsetlin ) (1985).
- Gold medal of J. Geyrovsky of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences - for merits in the field of chemical sciences (1988).
- Prize of the Russian Academy of Sciences named after M. M. Shemyakin for the series of works “Study of the structure and function of membrane peptides and proteins by NMR spectroscopy” (together with A. S. Arsenyev ) (1992, posthumous).
