Biography
Born on June 9, 1929 in Moscow, in the family of Pyotr Dmitrievich Bondarev, cryogeologist engineer, researcher at the Institute for Permafrost Science of the USSR Academy of Sciences .
Before the start of World War II, he managed to graduate from the 4th grade of school. Father and brother went to the front, and he and his mother were sent from Moscow to evacuate to the Urals , in the city of Kyshtym, Chelyabinsk Region. In the summer of 1944 , he was allowed to return to high school to continue his education. In 1946, Vsevolod graduated from the 8th grade of high school, after which, together with his father and mother, he left for the city of Vorkuta, Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , where his father was sent. In Vorkuta, he graduated from high school, in 1948 the family returned to Moscow.
In 1948 he entered the Geological Exploration Department of the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold named after Kalinin .
In 1953 he graduated from the institute with honors, specialty - “geology and exploration of mineral deposits”. Pupil I.S. Volynsky. He was left in graduate school at the department "Minerals."
Along with graduate school, from 1954 to 1956, he worked as a party geologist as part of the Altai Rudno-Altai Ore Expedition, where he led the work of the mineralogical unit detachment, which studied the ore composition, hydrothermally altered rocks and the conditions for the formation of polymetallic deposits of Ore Altai.
He graduated from graduate school in November 1956, in 1959 he defended his thesis on "The material composition of ores, changes in the host rocks and some features of the formation of Zavodinsky and Paryginsky polymetallic deposits of Rudny Altai."

Since November 1956 he worked at the K.A. Timiryazev Agricultural Academy .
Since 1964 - Associate Professor of the Department of Geology, Mineralogy and Hydrogeology.
In 1965 he was elected head of the department . He taught courses in geological disciplines [1] .
In 1963, he prepared a new special course “Quaternary sediments with the basics of geomorphology”, and since then this course has been introduced into the curriculum of the Academy .
In March 1969, he was accepted to the post of assistant professor of the Department of Geology and Geochemistry of Landscape, Moscow State Pedagogical Institute / Moscow State Pedagogical University , where he worked for 37 years, teaching faculty students:
- geographical - course "Fundamentals of Mineralogy and Crystallography"
- chemical - course "Fundamentals of Mineralogy and Crystallography"
- Biological and chemical - courses "Fundamentals of mineralogy and crystallography" and "Geology with the basics of paleontology."
Developed a fundamentally new course "Industrial and agronomic ores" for students of 4-5 courses. All the training courses he taught were provided with teaching and methodological aids written by the lecturer himself. Textbooks of V.P. Bondarev from generation to generation are used at Moscow State Pedagogical University .
At the same time, the head of geological exploration expeditions. He headed the search and study of copper-nickel and tungsten ores in the districts of the extreme European North ( Karelia , Northern Timan), which resulted in the expansion of the development of industrial deposits of copper , nickel and tungsten in these areas. The head of expeditions to study the ore content of the Altai mountains (1954–56), the North of the European part of the USSR (1971–88) and Northern Kazakhstan (1985–87).
Since 1999, part-time taught at various universities and at the Moscow College of Management and New Technologies.
He laid the foundations of the museums of geography and the libraries of geography at the Moscow State Pedagogical University and MKUiNT, in which were transferred large collections of minerals collected by him, as well as rare editions of books.
Vsevolod Petrovich Bondarev suddenly died in Moscow on May 14, 2006. He was buried at Dolgoprudnensky cemetery [2] .
Research
Participated in expeditions to find minerals. The results of the work that contributed to the discovery of new deposits , were covered at the All-Union symposia.
Areas of geological exploration expeditions and the main areas of research activity:
- 1971-1977 Central and South Karelia : ore deposits of copper , cobalt , nickel , features of metallogeny and ore content (field expeditions, spectral analysis of rare metal ores ).
- 1983-1988 Kenozersko-Voloshevskaya zone of the Windy Belt ( Karelia ): nickel ores , prospects for industrial deposits .
- 1971-1981 The Bugrovskaya fault zone of North Timan (Kanino-Timan metallogenetic belt): copper-nickel and molybdenum mineralization, prospects for the discovery of industrial deposits of copper, nickel and molybdenum .
Rewards
- Badge " Excellence in Public Education "
- Veteran of Labor Medal
- Silver medal of VDNKh of the USSR “for the development of recommendations on the use of local agronomic ores, the issuance of educational and methodological manuals on crystallography, mineralogy, methods of teaching soil science with the basics of geology”; approved by the participant of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the USSR .
Membership in organizations
- Member of the Moscow Society of Naturalists (MOIP), since 1957.
