Light cruisers of the Omaha type are a type of light cruisers of the US Navy during World War II. In total, 10 ships were built: Omaha ( CL-4 [2] Omaha ), Milwaukee ( CL-5 Milwaukee ), Cincinnati ( CL-6 Cincinnati ), Railay ( CL-7 Raleigh ), Detroit "( CL-8 Detroit ), Richmond ( CL-9 Richmond ), Concord ( CL-10 Concord ), Trenton ( CL-11 Trenton ), Marblehead ( CL-12 Marblehead ), Memphis "( CL-121 Memfis ).

For the first time in American practice, a power plant was located echelon - MOs were between the bow and stern groups of KO [3] .

Omaha - laid down on December 6, 1918, launched on December 14, 1920, went into operation February 24, 1923
“ Milwaukee ” - was laid down on December 13, 1918, launched on March 24, 1921, went into operation on June 20, 1923, since April 20, 1944, as part of the Northern Fleet of the USSR Navy under the name “Murmansk”
" Cincinnati " - laid down May 15, 1920, launched May 23, 1921, went into operation January 1, 1924
" Railay " - laid down on August 16, 1920, launched on October 25, 1922, went into operation on February 6, 1924.
" Detroit " - laid down November 10, 1920, launched June 20, 1922, went into operation July 31, 1923
“ Richmond ” - laid down on February 16, 1920, launched on September 29, 1921, went into operation July 2, 1923
Concorde - laid down on March 29, 1920, launched on December 15, 1921, went into operation on November 3, 1923
" Trenton " - laid down on August 18, 1920, launched on April 16, 1923, went into operation on April 19, 1924
Marblehead - laid down on August 4, 1920, launched on October 9, 1923, went into operation on August 8, 1924
