Shelf Formation
Formed on October 19, 1810 from the Penza Musketeer Regiment (which had the seniority since 1700 and was abolished in 1833). July 16, 1819 renamed the 44th Jaeger. Following the abolition of the Eger regiments in 1834, the regiment battalions were transformed into the Black Sea Line Battalions No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7. After several renames and transformations, the Black Sea Line No. 6 battalion was formed on October 1, 1910, the 187th Avar Infantry Regiment , in which the seniority of the 45th Eger Regiment was preserved; From the Black Sea Battalion No. 5, the 203rd Sukhumsky Infantry Regiment was subsequently formed, and the Battalion No. 7 on April 17, 1856 entered the formation of the Sevastopol Infantry Regiment .
There is another, unofficial version of the disbandment and succession of the regiment, expressed by G. S. Gabaev and Klizovsky. According to their data in 1825, the former name of the regiment was not returned, and it, remaining the 16th Chasseurs, was abolished in 1833, and its battalions were attached to the Alexopol regiment ; in 1863, the second half of the latter was allocated to the formation of the Kolomna Regiment , in which the seniority of the 45th (44th) Chasseurs Regiment was preserved.
Gabayev also mentions that in the early 1820s. The regiment was renamed the 15th Jäger.
Shelf Campaigns
During World War II, the regiment was listed in the 22nd Infantry Division of the 1st Corps of Langeron , then transferred to the 3rd Corps of the Danube Army, in which it fought with the French.
Since the early 1820s. The regiment was located in the Caucasus , Abkhazia , and was repeatedly in contact with the mountaineers during the Russo-Turkish war of 1828-1829. The regiment provided security for the Caucasian coast of the Black Sea , where it defeated the Turkish ruins at Limani with particular success.
Regiment insignia
Of the insignia of the 45th (44th) Jäger Regiment, it had a simple banner with a special inscription “For distinction in the wars with Persia of 1826–288. and Turkey 1828-1829. ", Granted September 22, 1830; when the Black Sea battalions entered the formation of the Avar, Sukhum and Sevastopol regiments, the latter were granted the regimental banner of St. George with this inscription. Also, the 45th (44th) Eger regiment had two silver St. George pipes, granted on September 22, 1830; these pipes were left alone in the Black Sea battalions number 5 and number 6 and were subsequently located in the Avar and Sukhum regiments.
