Company History
Surreal Software was formed in 1995 as an independent computer and video game development studio by CEO Alan Patmore, CTO Stuart Denman, record producer Nick Radovich and art director Mike Nichols. At that time, they studied together at a Catholic school in Bellevue , Washington . After graduation , they began working in an office on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle . Their first contract was made with the creators of the film " Humongous " ( Humanoid ). At this time, Denman created the official website of their studio, where novice programmers left their coordinates.
Since 1996, the studio has been using the Riot Engine in its projects.
The main genre of games released by the studio are Action-adventure . Games are made for Xbox 360 , PlayStation , PC . In 2008, the studio planned to release an action called This is Vegas , which has been under development for several years, but the game was never released due to the bankruptcy of Midway .
The company’s shares were bought by Warner Brothers, including the game itself, but since it took $ 10 million to finalize the game, the project was closed and Surreal Software employees dissolved.
