History
Racing appeared in 1973 .
These were the first competitions in the country in such a sport as automobile autocross [1] . Over the years, the Silver Rook acquired the status of a city holiday in Togliatti, traditionally held on the Day of the Machine Builder , which racers come from all over Russia. Competitions are held by the Lada sports and technical club and are held at the autodrome of the Housing of auxiliary workshops of PJSC AvtoVAZ in Tolyatti [2] .
Traditionally, the main prize of the Silver Rook was a car provided by the sponsor of the competition - AvtoVAZ plant [3] .
Racing "Silver Rook" was one of the stages of the Russian championship in autocross . In the 2000s, the track was redone for a rally-cross [4] , but in 2013 there was a return to the autocross variant [5] . Other automobile competitions, including buggy cars, are also held on this track during the year.
