Sharmakh, Andrzej

Andrzej Sharmah ( Polish. Andrzej Szarmach ; born October 3, 1950 , Gdansk ) - Polish footballer . Bronze medalist of two world championships . Silver medalist OI-1976 . The top scorer of the 1976 Olympic Games, the second scorer of the 1974 World Cup . He was recognized as the best legionnaire of the French championship in 1981 and 1982. After finishing his career, he worked as a coach , but without much success.

Career

Andrzej Sharmakh successfully performed in the 1970s. However, due to the law, according to which Polish players could not leave their homeland until they were 30 years old, he spent most of his career in Poland. Only in 1980, the forward was able to leave for France, where he played for Auxerre , Guingamp and Clermont Foot .

Sharmach spent 61 matches for the Polish national team and scored 32 goals. In 1974, Sharmakh became part of the national team's attack at the World Cup , where the Poles scored 16 goals, of which 5 were scored by Andrzej. Two years later, at the Olympics, Charm excelled 9 times, becoming the tournament's top scorer.

After the player’s career ended, Sharmakh became the Clermont Foot playing coach, who brought him into the second division in the first season. At the same time, the Pole was a playing coach of the team and became the top scorer in the third league of France. In the next season, Andrzej spent several more games, after which he finally completed his playing career.
