Formation Regiment
Formed on August 29, 1805, in 1815 it was named the 3rd Jaeger. Upon the abolition of the JΓ€ger regiments on January 28, 1833, all three battalions were attached to the Revel infantry regiment . In 1863, the second half of the Revel regiment went on to form the Dvinsky Infantry Regiment , in which seniority and insignia of the 21st (3rd) Jaeger regiment were preserved.
Shelf Campaigns
Both active battalions were in the 3rd Infantry Division of the 3rd Corps of the 1st Western Army and took part in repelling Napoleon's invasion of Russia and the Foreign Campaigns of 1813-1814. The grenadier company of the 2nd battalion was in the 1st combined grenadier division of the 5th corps of the same army; a reserve battalion was in the Riga garrison.
In 1831, the regiment took part in the suppression of the Polish uprising and distinguished himself during the assault on Warsaw .
Regiment Insignia
The 21th Jaeger Regiment had a Grenadier battle, which was granted on April 13, 1813 for the war against Napoleon (the successors were not the same), and when he was the 3rd Jaeger Regiment, he earned the insignia on hats for lower ranks with the inscription " For Warsaw, August 25 and 26, 1831 β, granted on December 6, 1831
