Formation Regiment
The oldest regiment of the Russian imperial army, formed on July 25, 1642 from regular archers as the Moscow elected soldier's Butyrsky regiment. In 1786, the Butyrsky regiment with the addition of the 3rd and 4th battalions of the Selenginsky regiment was turned to compose the Kuban Jaeger corps and on November 29, 1796 this corps was reorganized into the 18th ranger battalion, named May 17, 1797. 18- Jaeger Regiment. From 1798 to 1801 the regiment was named after its chief, and on March 29, 1801 it was named the 17th jaeger. On February 12, 1816, the regiment was renamed the 7th Carabinieri and on March 27, 1827 it was named the Erivan Carabinieri. On February 19, 1855, the regiment was enrolled in the Grenadier Corps and named His Majesty's Lebanese-Grenadier Erivan Regiment .
Shelf Campaigns
The regiment was part of the 19th Infantry Division and took part in the wars with the Persians in 1804-1813 and 1826-1829 . and with the Turks 1806-1812 and 1828-1829 , the regiment also carried out cordon service in the Caucasus and repeatedly had military clashes with the highlanders .
The regiment, being the 17th jaeger and 7th carabinieri, received no distinction.
