Sinyakin, Sergey Nikolaevich

Sergey Nikolaevich Sinyakin (born May 18, 1953 , the village of Proletary [1] , Novgorod Region ) is a modern Russian writer. Winner of the literary prize named after A. and B. Strugatsky in the field of science fiction for 1999.

Biography

Since 1959 he lives in the Volgograd region, since 1965 - in Volgograd . After serving in the army since 1973 he served in the internal affairs bodies. In 1999, for reasons of health, in the rank of lieutenant colonel of militia, he was transferred to the reserve from the post of head of the city department for the disclosure of premeditated murders and other serious crimes against the person.

Works

The first stories and stories ("Reservation" and "Step forward") were published in the newspaper "Young Leninist" in the eighties. In 1990, the first book Transgalactic Express was published in Volgograd (the book also included the story The Sword for Koshchei or The Three Roads to Poklon-Gora). In 1990, the publishing house "Young Guard" in the collection "The Name for the Knight" published the story "Make Your Way Towards."

  • 1999 - publication in the journal “If” of the story “A Monk on the Edge of the Earth”.
  • 2000 - publication of the story "Stamps of our destiny" in the collection "Fantastic 2000" (AST Publishers).

  • Sigma-F Prize for the nomination “The Best Fantastic Tale”
  • The prize of the Strugatsky brothers in the nomination "The best work of art in the field of fiction"
