History
The boat was laid down on December 1, 1989 at the Admiralty Plant in Leningrad under the designation K-414 , launched on August 31, 1990 . In the same year it was transferred to Severodvinsk and on December 30 went into operation.
June 3, 1992 reclassified, renamed B-414 . In 1993, she performed military service in the Atlantic. In 1994, the B-414, together with the K-18 missile carrier, took part in a group Arctic campaign, surfacing at the North Pole, for which the crew commander was awarded the title "Hero of Russia". On August 25, 1995, it carried out the tasks of providing missile launches for the Sharks TK-20 , in September of that year it completed a transport mission, delivering 10 tons of food to the Kharasavey village. September 18, 1996 received the honorary name "Daniel of Moscow" in honor of the first specific prince of Moscow, Daniil Alexandrovich .
September 6, 2006, while being at a training ground in the Barents Sea with 505 crew on board, a fire broke out on the boat in the electromechanical compartment. Emergency protection worked, the reactors stopped, the midshipman Shabanov and the contract service sailor Etuyev, who were the first to fight the fire, received fatal carbon monoxide poisoning. They were evacuated to the approaching rescue vessel, but could no longer be saved. The fire was liquidated and the boat with the help of surface ships was towed to the base in Vidyaevo .
On November 18, 2012, the crew of the B-414, performing tasks in the Barents Sea , came to the aid of the crew of the fishing vessel Rybachy, who was following the fishing and sent a distress signal. Submariners in the immediate vicinity of the disaster area immediately began a rescue operation. In difficult weather conditions, the submarine crew took on board fishermen who fought with the arrival of sea water. The victims of the emergency were safely brought ashore [1] .
It is deployed in the village of Vidyaevo and is part of the 7th submarine division.
