Imangali Nurgaliyevich Tasmagambetov [1] (born December 9, 1956 , the village of Novobogat [2] , Makhambet district , Guryev region , Kazakh SSR , USSR ) is a statesman and politician of the Republic of Kazakhstan , doctor of political sciences . Biography
By nationality - Kazakh . The interest in the natural sciences that awakened in his early youth influenced the choice of a future profession. Comes from the subgenus Zhappas of the genus Bayula the Younger Zhuz. [3]
In 1979, Imangali Tasmagambetov graduated from the Natural Geography Department of West Kazakhstan State University named after M. Utemisov. (WKSU) " (ex. Ural Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin) " with a degree in "teacher of geography and biology."

He began his career in 1973 as a coach of the children's and youth sports school in the village of Makhambet in the Guryev region. In 1979, he worked as a teacher of geography and biology of the Makhambet secondary school of the Guryev region.
He was able to demonstrate his active position in socio-political life by working in senior positions - the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Young Communist League of Kazakhstan ( 1989 ) and the chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Youth Affairs ( 1991 ).

Under the auspices of UNESCO, he held anniversaries of outstanding figures of Kazakh culture and science, which were included in the calendar of memorable dates of mankind. The 150th anniversary of Abay Kunanbaev and Zhambyl Zhabayev, the centenary of Mukhtar Auezov, Kanysh Satpayev, Gabit Musrepov and Alkey Margulan.
His projects are international cultural expeditions. He is also the author of the books “Socio-Political Renewal of Kazakhstan: Trends and Priorities”, “Explanatory Dictionary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Products of Central Asian Zerg Masters”, “From Beijing to Astana: The History of Transfers of Capitals”, “Centaurs of the Great Steppe” and etc. By the way, the latter won the “Grand Prix” of the Second International Competition “The Art of the Book”.
He is the chairman of the public council for the implementation of the state program "Cultural Heritage" for 2004 - 2006 , the chairman of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO . In 1993, the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO was established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1993 to April 2014, the Chairman of the National Commission was I.N. Tasmagambetov. Since April 11, 2014, the National Commission is headed by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Mukhamediuly.
According to the decision of the Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova on the recognition of the significant contribution of the Akim of Astana I. Tasmagambetov to strengthening relations between UNESCO and Kazakhstan, as well as preserving the heritage of the Great Silk Road, the ceremony of awarding the ex-Chairman of the National Commission with the Organization’s highest award - a medal The Silk Road.
The UNESCO Silk Road Medal is currently the Organization’s only silver medal (all other medals are made of bronze). This medal has not been awarded for the past 20 years.

In 2014, Talhiz was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List). Inconsistency of actions of state bodies led to organizational and technical errors that could cause the object to be excluded from the World Heritage List. I. Tasmagambetov instructed to stop all types of construction work on the territory of the Talkhiz settlement; akimat of Almaty region to design and implement the construction of a new bypass road outside the security zone; to restore the terrain, in particular, to fill up the foundation pit dug for laying the roadbed.
