Wooden Ilyinsky Chapel

On the river bank Volga near the village Relatives preserved a state natural monument - the remains of a park with an area of ​​about 3 hectares (2000 x 150 m.). On the slope of the root bank, individual oaks , lindens , spruce , and birch have been preserved. In the central part there are sparse birches 20–25 m high with trunks 30–50 cm in diameter, as well as a young apple orchard. Spruce trees with an unusual crown shape deserve special attention: the lateral branches bend upward and form second-order trunks. The park, located on a high bank, is a decoration of the landscape and serves as a place of organized cultural recreation for the local population.

Near the village of Rodnya there are barrows of Slavic origin, which date back to the 9th-10th centuries.

In 1844, a stone Assumption Church was built in the village, with funds from the local landowner Evgraf Nikolayevich Lansky. The temple has two chapels : the right - in the name of the Epiphany of the Lord and the left - in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker . The painting in the church was done by the old artist P.E. Zhukov in 1903. History

The village of Rodney was first mentioned in the Tver Chronicle under 1368, when the prince “ Andrei Olgerdovich fought Harvach and Roden ”.
