Biography
Born in the family of the famous scientist G.N. Gabrichevsky . Received a thorough home education [1] . In 1915 he graduated from the historical and philological faculty of Moscow University .
Since 1918, he taught at Moscow University, VKhUTEIN , the Higher Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering , and the Institute for Graduate Studies of the USSR Academy of Architecture .
Corresponding member of the Academy of Architecture of the USSR, doctor of art history, professor.
In 1920, he married the artist Natalya Alekseevna Severtsova ( 1901 - 1970 ) [2] , the daughter of the famous biologist A.N. Severtsov .
In the 1920s he was a full member of the State Academy of Agricultural Sciences . In 1930, the Academy was dissolved, Gabrichevsky was arrested. Subsequently, he was arrested twice more, went through interrogations by the NKVD , twice (in 1935 and 1941) served a link, and in 1948 he was fired from his job in connection with the campaign against cosmopolitanism .
In 1932 he buried M. Voloshin in Koktebel.
Author of many works on the history and theory of architecture, painting (mainly Renaissance ), music and literature.
He was buried at the Koktebel cemetery [1] .
