Video clip
The video was shot September 24 and 25, 2008 in Los Angeles , California . The director was Joseph Kahn, who had previously worked with Spears on music videos for the songs Stronger (2000) and Toxic (2004). [2] The premiere of the clip took place on October 10 on the ABC channel [3] , as well as on the singer’s official website.
The plot of the clip echoes the Toxic clip. Spears plays four roles - the blonde escorting her boyfriend to work (Brandon Stoughton plays the guy), the secretary in his office, the waitress in the cafe, and the driver of his car. The guy of the main character flirts with all the girls, showing that he is a womanizer. At the end of the clip, Spears the blonde takes revenge on him.
Billboard Criticism Reviews
Billboard magazine provided an overview of the single “Womanizer”: Everyone likes a good comeback, although it’s ironic that Britney Spears didn’t really go anywhere. Her last year’s troubles only increased interest in the album “Blackout”, as well as the hit from the TOP 5 “Gimme More”. This year, Spears appears less frequently in public, and does not get up to what she has done the last couple of years. The song "Womanizer" from the new album "Circus" portrays Britney fantastic and electronic. The producers and authors from the Outsider team introduced a little clarity into the lyrics directed to a certain person from her ex where she reads “You say I'm crazy ... I'll drive you crazy.” Although the recurring link could have a good effect on the length of the track’s stay in the charts, Spears’s vocals are changed here, which is not like last year’s songs, where they paid more attention to the tricks of production to cover up an unfocused product. After winning three times at the VMA award ceremony, where Spears seemed grateful and surprised, could this be the real return of our Britney? [four]
