Biography
Since 1918 V.I. Volpin worked in Tashkent newspapers and magazines, in the printing department of the Turkcentropechat. since 1921 he was the plenipotentiary of Turkcentropechat in Moscow. In Moscow in the early twenties of the XX Century V. I. Volpin met Sergey Yesenin, with whom he established warm friendly relations [1] . Since the fall of 1923, V.I. Volpin moved to Moscow for permanent residence and began to work in the book trade.
V.I. Volpin assisted S. Yesenin in publishing books with his poems. So at the end of 1923 he made an attempt to publish his collection of poems “ Moscow Kabatskaya ”. Later he took part in preparing for print the collection of S. Yesenin “On Russia and the Revolution” (1925).
After the death of S. Yesenin, V. I. Volpin wrote memoirs “About Sergey Yesenin” in 1926 and published “A Memo of Sergey Yesenin” (1926), and also compiled [2] a bibliography of published works of Sergei Yesenin and literature on the poet’s work.
