Objectworld Communications Corp. ObjectWorld Inc, an old name, is a Canadian-based unified communications software company for small and medium-sized businesses. Objectworld creates its software products based on Microsoft Windows operating systems, focused on IT-centralized installation, administration and support of the unified communications infrastructure.
Oblectworld's flagship product, UC Server, can be used either as an add-on to an existing office telephone exchange ( PBX ), or as a SIP -based system that completely replaces traditional PBXs . UC Server can provide a full range of business communications (telephony, auto attendant, voicemail, unified messaging, fax server, interactive voice communication ( IVR ), external dial-up, conference calling , etc.) by integrating with various devices of other manufacturers (for example, SIP phones, SIP gateways, etc.), as well as with the Microsoft Windows Active Directory directory service, Microsoft Exchange Server and Lotus Domino mail servers. UC Server is focused on the fact that its support and administration will be carried out by network system administrators.
Due to the crisis of 2008-2009, the financial condition of the company deteriorated sharply, which necessitated the search for a powerful external investor. In the end, in September 2009, Objectworld Communications was acquired by the American company ADTRAN.

History
Objectworld Communications Corp (first named ObjectWorld Inc.) was founded by Behrouz Poustchi in 1994, initially as a consulting company. In 1996, a second employee appeared in the company - Robert Turner (Robert Turner), and others behind him. During these early years, ObjectWorld Inc. advised and developed telecommunications solutions and products ( OKS-7 , video conferencing ) for clients such as MPR Teltech and the Canadian Research Council. In 1998, ObjectWorld Inc. Launched CallAttendant, a product for home and small office with an automated telephone answering machine that provides sophisticated routing and call processing using the drag-and-drop graphical user interface. The uniqueness of the user interface was that it allowed to build complex schemes for manipulating phone calls even to those users who did not have programming skills, did not know special commands, and generally did not have a deep understanding of telephony.
In 2000, this software product was redesigned as a standalone application to the PBX . At the same time, further development of products for the home and small office was stopped. This new product was released in March 2001 and is called CallAttendant Office; he aimed at small and medium enterprises.
